Phishing emails

Currently, phishing emails are being distributed giving the impression that Straatman Koster Lawyers is reporting copyright infringement. In doing so, the recipient is asked to download a file.

These emails are not from Straatman Koster Lawyers, nor sent on behalf of Straatman Koster Lawyers. They are misleading false phishing emails that, as far as we can tell, are supposedly sent on behalf of various law firms.

We therefore advise you not to respond to those e-mails, not to download the file and to report the message to your ICT department immediately. If you did open the file, we also recommend that you contact your IT department immediately.

Our IT department has determined that the e-mails have nothing to do with our systems: they have not been compromised, nor has the confidentiality of our data been compromised. Naturally, we are keeping a close eye on whether this situation changes.
