Rikkert Pilaar specializes in construction and procurement law and represents major private and public parties in the construction, infrastructure and energy sectors. He has gained extensive experience in drafting and reviewing complex construction contracts. In addition, he regularly advises and litigates on a variety of construction law issues.

Rikkert graduated from Leiden University where he took the master's degree in Corporate Law. In 2015, he joined the legal profession at Pels Rijcken in the construction and procurement law section, before moving to Houthoff in 2018. He then worked as legal counsel at VolkerWessels. Since March 1, 2025, Rikkert has been working at Straatman Koster advocaten.
