Rikkert specialises in construction and procurement law and assists large private and public parties in the construction, infrastructure and energy sectors. He has extensive expertise in drafting and reviewing complex construction contracts. In addition, he regularly advises and litigates on a wide range of construction law-related matters.

Rikkert graduated from Leiden University, where he obtained a Master’s degree in Corporate Law. He began his career in the legal profession in 2015 at Pels Rijcken, where he worked in the Construction and Procurement Law department, before moving to Houthoff in 2018. After a period working as legal counsel for VolkerWessels, Rikkert joined Straatman Koster advocaten on 1 March 2025.
