Mendy is a specialized real estate lawyer with a focus on tenancy law. She advises and litigates for developers, managers and corporations, among others, on lease law issues such as the qualification of (lease) agreements, defects, renovation and redevelopment, rent adjustment, continuation after death, livability and lease termination.

Mendy studied Dutch Law, Business Law and Private Law at the University of Groningen. She has been working as a lawyer since December 2017. In September 2024, Mendy joined Straatman Koster advocaten.

Mendy is a member of the Association of Rental Law Attorneys (VHA). In 2022, she completed the VHA's specialization course cum laude.
