Marc specializes in development, financing and operation of renewable energy projects, such as renewable heat generation (including geothermal) and heat networks, wind power, and rooftop and solar.

In particular, he works for developers and builders of renewable energy projects, developers and builders of real estate projects that encounter energy issues, and financiers of renewable energy projects.

Marc studied notarial and Dutch law at VU University Amsterdam. After completing his studies, Marc first worked as a candidate notary at De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek and Van Doorne. Marc then became a lawyer, most recently at Cees Advocaten, where he was director and responsible for the energy practice. During his career, Marc has completed the courses "Leergang Energierecht" (2012) and "Energierecht op locatie" (2022). Since January 1, 2022, he has been a partner at Straatman Koster advocaten.

Marc is a member of the supervisory board of Stichting Tent (tent.eu).
