Angela specializes in advising and resolving (impending) disputes and drafting and reviewing contracts in the field of construction and real estate law (real estate / industry / infra / (wind) energy / water).

Her clients include large developers, contractors, investors, industrial companies, municipalities, housing associations, architects, structural engineers, engineering firms and other consultancies. Angela regularly assists them in proceedings before the District Court, the Court of Appeal, the Arbitration Board for the Building Industry (RvA) and the Netherlands Arbitration Institute (NAI).

Angela graduated in fiscal economics from Erasmus University Rotterdam in 2005. In 2006, she studied at Florida State University and in 2007 she obtained her degree in Dutch law at Erasmus University Rotterdam.

She subsequently worked for almost seven years as a lawyer in the Dispute Resolution team at Houthoff in Rotterdam. Angela joined Straatman Koster advocaten on 1 March 2014 and became a Partner, specialising in Construction Law and Real Estate Law, on 1 January 2018.

Angela has been named a Next Generation Partner, practice area Construction Netherlands, for four years in a row by international research firm Legal500. The construction law team of Straatman Koster advocaten to which she belongs was ranked Tier 2 by Legal500.
